Where It Began
Founded by Anika Pandey in 2024, Svarian began with a simple question: why should the objects we carry every day force a choice between beauty and utility?
The name comes from Svar, the Sanskrit word for musical note, and is a tribute to the founder's mother, a sitar player. The rhythm of music, the curves of the instrument, and the movement of fabric continue to shape the brand's visual language.
Made by hand in small batches by Italian artisans, Svarian creates contemporary bags that bring together sculptural design and everyday function.
Fewer, better things - made to last.
Design Philosophy
A beautiful bag should not demand compromise.
Each design begins with a real need, a laptop that must fit comfortably, a strap that shouldn't slip, an interior that keeps things in order, a silhouette that feels natural to carry.
Every design decision serves a purpose.
Craftsmanship
Every Svarian piece is made in Italy with specialist artisans and small-scale ateliers. Traditional craft techniques meet modern materials and precise construction, so each piece is produced with care, consistency, and attention to detail.
Made in Europe
Materials
Materials are chosen not only for how they look, but for how they age, perform, and feel in everyday use.
Svarian's signature material is VEGEA — a grape-based material developed in Northern Italy from byproducts of the wine industry, chosen for its finish, durability, and a more considered approach to how a bag is made.
Considered materials, designed for longevity.
Sustainability
For Svarian, sustainability begins with making less, and making it better.
We produce in limited quantities, avoid excess, and design pieces meant to stay relevant beyond a single season.
Svarian is built slowly, by a small team, in close collaboration with the artisans and partners who make each piece possible.
